Boarding and Drop-off Policies Δ Georgetown Veterinary Hospital Boarding and Drop-off PoliciesOwner Name* First Last Read & Tick Terms & Conditions* Select All In case of illness or injury, you, the undersigned, do hereby give your authorization and consent for the doctors of GVH to treat, prescribe for, or operate upon my pet(s) while they are being boarded at this hospital. All pets are fed Prescription Diet I/D Lowfat unless you provide your own food. Pets are fed twice a day unless directed otherwise. GVH will provide appropriate bedding for each pet. You are welcome to bring toys or bedding to make your pet feel more comfortable. We ask, due to limited space, that you limit the amount of personal belongings that you bring. All pets are required to be up to date on vaccinations and have had a fecal exam and Bordetella(dogs only) in the last 6 months. If your pet is not up to date, or you are not able to provide proof of such vaccinations, then you give permission for the hospital to administer these vaccines at your expense. All pets must be free of fleas and ticks or they will be treated at your expense. Pets requiring insulin injections or more than two medications while boarding will be charged an additional fee of $5-15 per day. If your pet is aggressive towards other pets or staff while boarding he/she will be moved to a special run. This is a run that has a separate exit to an isolated yard. There will be an additional charge if this is required. If your dog stays with us for three nights, we offer a discounted bath. This service is done on the morning of discharge. If you are requesting a bath your dog will be ready for pick-up after 10am. In the event your pick up date changes, please notify us as soon as possible. If your dog has already been bathed and requires another bath this will be at your expense. At the time of drop-off you will fill out a boarding contract. The staff at GVH will provide an estimate for boarding and services. Please understand that the actual cost of boarding can change due to medical or safety issues. The staff at GVH will make every effort to contact you by phone if there are any changes, but understand that all the cost associated with boarding are your responsibility.
